Q1: What’s the difference between mat and Reformer Pilates?
Mat Pilates uses your bodyweight, while Reformer Pilates uses a spring-based machine for more varied resistance and movement. It’s more adaptable and precise — ideal for rehab and progression.
Q2: Is Reformer Pilates good for beginners?
Absolutely. At KACI, all sessions are 1:1 — so we move at your pace and start with the fundamentals. No prior Pilates experience is necessary.
Q3: Do I need to bring anything to my first session?
Just yourself in comfortable clothes. We provide all equipment and props in our private Reformer Pilates studio in Lilliput, Poole.
Q4: Where is the studio located?
KACI Pilates is located in Lilliput, Poole — just a few minutes from Sandbanks, Whitecliff, and Parkstone. Full address and directions are provided after booking.
Q5: What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session includes a discussion of goals, and a tailored Reformer workout based on your needs. It’s private, relaxed, and personalised from start to finish.
Q6: Can I do Pilates if I have an injury or medical condition?
Yes. Kirsty can ensure any program adapts to injury ,assisting with recovery and movement rehabilitation. Please share any medical details ahead of time so we can adapt sessions safely.
Q7: What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates improves core strength, flexibility, posture, and balance through precise, resistance-based movement. It’s low-impact, perfect for all levels, including rehab, post-pregnancy or injury recovery.
Q8: How often should I do Pilates to see results?
For optimal results, we recommend at least 1-2 private Reformer sessions per week. Many clients notice improved strength and posture within 4–6 weeks, with continued gains as consistency builds.
Q9: What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. This allows flexibility while respecting our private studio schedule. Missed sessions without notice will be charged in full or applied to your block booking.
